The Story in Question...

And in fact the story in question can be found here:

A dainty Disch...

Today I finished writing my 334th story!

This is a landmark for me because it means that I am one-third of the way through completing my big writing project of exactly 1000 stories!

To be more accurate, when I was one-third of the way through writing my 334th story I was one-third of the way through completing this project.

This 334th story is entitled '333⅓' and makes a nod to Thomas Disch, author of the excellent novel 334, by having a main character who has the same name as one of the main characters in that novel...

Wheels within wheels...
... maketh clocks!

Yesterday I bought a rather large piece of fudge. But I gave it to someone else.
Having said that, I did get to eat quite a lot of it.

For Christmas I'll settle for humbugs.

I'm going to be translated into Portuguese. Well not me as such, but one of my books.

Going to see the Frictionless Man playing at Inferno tonight. Can't let the Frictionless Man slip through my fingers...

What to do With This?

Now I've started my own blog, I don't really know what to do with it.
I could mention a new anthology of food based fiction which is due to be published soon (hopefully before Christmas). Details are here:
I've written far too many stories connected with food in some way -- maybe this is why I'm more excited about being published in this anthology than in many others I'm due to appear in. I rushed to finish my story 'Grumblebelly' for this book and met the deadline for submissions with only a day to spare (this was after I was given a week's extension).
I interrupted a different story I was in the middle of writing to work on 'Grumblebelly'. This other story was about... sausages!
Yes, I really must cut down on the food imagery!

Helping Friends

Today I have to help write a synopsis for a dissertation. I also have to carry bags and maybe fix a car.
